Casa Alarcón

Villa de Leyva is a small town located 3 hours drive at the north of Bogota. It is known for its colonial style, and despite being one of the main tourist destinations in Colombia has kept preserved since its founding in 1572. So in 1954 was recognized as a national monument.

The Alarcón house is located southwest of the town, near the principal market, although the lot is relatively far from the town's square is located within the urban area of the city. Therefore the rule applied to it in terms of conservation is very demanding and seeks to maintain the colonial style which the town has developed since its inception. But on the other hand, the client is a well known interior designer in Colombia, a person with impeccable and modern taste who has given her life to the profession, so we have to receive these two premises to create a new atmosphere that combine them.
